In Thursdays lecture we spoke about masturbation and how it has changed in terms of years . I do find it shocking to think it was regarded with such venomous distaste . However I remember being told by my nan that not so many moons ago children who wrote with their left hand where thought to be spawned by the devil . What seems so absurd to us today was part and parcel to life back in the day . I'm a 30 year old women and I must admit I find talking about masturbation uncomfortable , but I do come from quite a prudes family . It also gives you hairy palms and sends you blind.

ReplyDeleteI remember my mum saying much the same to my brother and i say the same to my girls, however not to stop them, even if i find it embrassing. More their own safely more tha anything due to the nature of the world we live in.

ReplyDeleteIn response to your post regarding masturbation, im only 26 but anything with a sexual nature in my house hold growing up was welcomly expressed, although my mother is a bit of a prude she always encouraged us to be open! so for me sexual partners, sexual experience and yes im going to say it masturbation is freely expressed and doesnt embarres me in the slightly!!
